Conferences

Arizona State University hosted an online conference on July 13-14, 2020 about the transition to online teaching.

Teachning and learning mathematics online hosted a workshop June 2-3, 2020, with video available and links to various future events. There was an workshop on September 3rd on Student Engagement and Interaction.

Newcastle University hosts an annual international conference on E-Assessment in Mathematical Sciences, with the most recent on June 22 to July 1, 2020.

Software

This page details how to use the OBS recorder (free and open source) for preparing and delivering online lectures. There are also videos detailing how to use OBS for teaching on youtube. OBS does not allow for video editing after recording, for that there exist a few good free options, for example Openshot, Kdenlive.

STACK is an e-assessment system for mathematics, that  allows to go beyond multiple choice questions, checking mathematical expressions.

Durham University (UK) has an online course about teaching online.

The Online Learning Consortium is a non-profit, collaborative community of higher education leaders dedicated to advancing digital teaching and learning through an extensive set of resources, including best-practice publications, quality benchmarking, leading-edge instruction, community-driven conferences, empirical research, and expert guidance.

edX is a massive open online course (MOOC) provider created by Harvard and MIT, and hosting university-level online courses in a wide range of disciplines for a worldwide student body, including some at no charge.

e-Literate is a non-profit dedicated to helping higher education enable students to succeed in a 21st-Century world. Their Empirical Educator Project  is a network of people and organizations dedicated to transforming higher education institutions from the inside to meet the challenges of the 21st Century, through an annual summit, network-wide projects, and content generated and promoted by e-Literate.
